ReWORK About Us

Helping to Save Our Pollinators

British Bees declined by

46%

in the past decade

THE DECLINE IN BEES OVER THE PAST DECADE IS SERIOUS FOR US ALL

WORKHORSE LEGACY have watched on as reports of the decline in bees have become louder over the last few years.

The potential results of this rapid decline, both nationally and globally, could be catastrophic if not stopped. The immediate cost to agriculture and the UK economy as a whole due to the natural dependence on bees and other pollinators in food production has an effect on us as businesses and individuals.

WE'RE TAKING ACTION

WORKHORSE LEGACY have teamed with ReWORK to produce POLLINATOR PODS for businesses to buy to place in their carparks and outdoor sites helping to create a pollinator corridor in urban and commercial belts of land. These corridors have been proven around the world to support the bee population and increase pollination of crops and plants nearby.

35%

of global agriculture production depends on pollinators

URBAN CITY CORRIDORS

We are working with our customers to introduce perennial plants onto their premises that have been highlighted by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) as being 'Plants for Pollinators'.

By utilising car park areas or outdoor land of all sizes, our customers are helping to create a 'rest area' in otherwise concrete environments for bees between green belts and domestic gardens.

TAKING ACTION AND DELIVERING SOCIAL VALUE

At WORKHORSE LEGACY we live by the saying 'talk is cheap, action wins the day', and that starts with our own companies and colleagues. Through our partnership with Ecologi over the last 18 months we have offset over 600 tonnes of CO2 emissions and have planted more than 9,000 trees around the world.

However, we love to be different! We want to support our planet with more than trees, and how better to do that than helping to save our vital bees?

Moving Britain from A to Bee...

LET'S BEE TOGETHER

British business can make a huge contribution to helping save our bees. We know that initiatives like bee corridors and pollinator pods may be a small start but if our customers join us and their customers follow them, it soon becomes a much bigger contributor.

We will be working closely with specialist organisations such as the The British Beekeepers Association (BBKA), a charitable organisation that was founded in 1874 to continue our journey and increase the difference we can make alongside our customers and suppliers.
